Bonnie Raitt's second album Give It Up (1972) is considered one of her very best. Although she scored hits with later albums, Give It Up developed into a genre-bending and generation-defining record. With it, Raitt set the standard for the hordes of female singers to come. Raitt followed up on her eponymous debut [MOVLP735] with her trademark crossover of Blues, Folk and Californian Rock – delivered with a style and sensuality that has rarely been heard on a record.
