This is the debut release on ACT by Swedish bassist and composer Lars Danielsson. In twelve pieces, including the title track, an instrumental version of Gabriel Fauré's (1845-1924) "Libera Me", this album makes one realise that we have here an instrumentalist of the best quality, a highly competent orchestrator and composer of wonderful memorable melodies - as well as being a leader with a great awareness of the qualities of other musicians. "Libera Me" guests Jon Christensen on drums, percussion, Nils Petter Molvaer on trumpet and Cæcilie Norby on vocals on “Newborn Broken”.
