Céline Bonacina began studying music at the age of seven. Between 1996-1998 she began specializing in the baritone saxophone and performed regularly with several Parisian big bands. She then left France to live in La Reunion, and performed in numerous festivals throughout the Indian Ocean region. Her group opened up for the renowned French big band Orchestre National de Jazz and for Henri Texier. She also performed with the highly esteemed pianist Omar Sosa. After returning to Paris in 2005, she released her first CD, Vue d'en Haut. Her original compositions have had high critical acclaim by the French press. Her latest album Way of Life has been recorded in February 2010. She often invites other musicians, like the guitarists Yannick Robert or Nguyên Lê...

Céline Bonacina has been awarded in the following French Jazz Competitions; "Concours National of Jazz of La Défense", third place, 2007, "Tremplin Jazz of La Ciotat", first place, 2007, "Tremplin Rezzo Jazz à Vienne", first place, 2009.
